About the Frostburg Facility
Once fully operational, the Frostburg facility will use Clym's proprietary ozone treatment technology to process biohazardous material and convert it into safe, reusable materials. The technology relies on ozone generated from ambient air and powered by solar energy, an approach designed to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions associated with traditional thermal treatment methods.
The ribbon-cutting follows several milestones for the Frostburg project, including Clym's recognition as the Life Sciences Innovation of the Year winner at the Maryland Tech Council's 2026 ICON Awards. The facility supports Clym's continued growth across the eastern United States and reinforces its role in advancing sustainable waste management practices for the life sciences, healthcare, and pharmaceutical industries.
