Learn Hands-Only CPR at FIFA Fan Festivals with American Heart Association

The American Heart Association is bringing its Nation of Lifesavers mobile CPR unit to FIFA Fan Festivals in four U.S. host cities starting June 10, 2026, to teach Hands-Only CPR during the global soccer championship. With over 350,000 cardiac arrests occurring outside hospitals annually in the U.S., immediate CPR can double or triple survival chances. The initiative, held in collaboration with FIFA Medical, aims to empower thousands of fans to respond in cardiac emergencies. The mobile unit will appear at festivals in Atlanta, Dallas, Philadelphia, and at the New York New Jersey Fan Zone in the Bronx and Central Park Mini Pitch. The American Heart Association, identified by the Annenberg Public Policy Center as the most trusted public health information source after personal healthcare providers, seeks to double survival rates of cardiac arrest by 2030 through its Nation of Lifesavers™ movement. Hands-Only CPR, which involves calling 911 and pushing hard and fast in the center of the chest, is simple and effective for teens and adults. Volunteers can sign up at heart.org/FIFAFanFestival to help teach CPR. This marks the Association’s first appearance at a FIFA event and its 10th at a major national sporting event, previously appearing at Super Bowls, NFL Drafts, and the NBA All-Star Game. With nearly 3 out of 4 cardiac arrests happening at home, learning CPR can save a loved one. Fans can practice CPR, recognize cardiac arrest signs, and build confidence to act. The initiative supports FIFA Medical’s goal to leave lasting public health impacts beyond the tournament.
