Hong Kong's InnoEX & Electronics Fair Launch as Global Tech Hub Showcase

The Innovation and Technology Bureau (ITIB) of the HKSAR Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) have jointly launched the InnoEX exhibition alongside the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) (EFSE), creating a massive four-day technology convergence at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Under the theme "Innovate . Automate . Elevate," these flagship fairs bring together over 2,800 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions, showcasing cutting-edge innovations in artificial intelligence (AI+), robotics, and electronics. Key players include HKTDC Deputy Executive Director Jenny Koo, who emphasized the event's role in fostering cross-regional collaboration and aligning with Hong Kong's ambitions to become an international I&T hub, as outlined in the National 15th Five-Year Plan. The newly debuted "RoboPark" is a major highlight, featuring over 100 robots from global leaders like AgiBot, Unitree, UBTECH, and EngineAI, with Unitree showcasing its next-generation A2 quadruped robot dog capable of high-speed movement and complex terrain navigation.

The exhibition's scope extends far beyond robotics, focusing on five key technological areas: AI+, Robotics, Low-altitude Economy, PropTech, and RetailTech. International participation has grown significantly, with first-time exhibitors from countries including Austria, Germany, Israel, and the United States, and a delegation led by UNIDO Director General Dr. Gerd Müller underscoring the event's global importance. In the AI+ domain, the Digital Policy Office presents the "Smart Hong Kong Pavilion," while Tencent Cloud debuts enterprise solutions like SuperApp and PalmAI. The low-altitude economy receives substantial focus, with China Mobile Hong Kong demonstrating a drone traffic management system and the inaugural LAE Development Conference featuring international speakers like Kazakhstan's Vice Minister Bakhtiyar Mukhametkaliyev. Concurrently, the EFSE serves as a premier global electronics trading platform, featuring over 60 product launches across Smart Home & Solutions, Health Tech & Gadgets, and the burgeoning Pet Intelligence sector, with innovations from companies like Infinite Import & Export and Tuya Hong Kong Limited.

This convergence is part of the broader Business of Innovation and Technology Week (BIT Week), which includes over 100 forums, seminars, and networking events designed to explore industry trends and foster collaboration. A key seminar titled "Driving Innovation and Industry Development through China's Next Five-Year Roadmap" will feature insights from major enterprises like JD Group, Ant Group, and Pfizer on using Hong Kong as a strategic expansion platform. The event also features specialized zones like a "Go Global Consultation Zone" for professional advisory services and an "Immersive Experience Zone" showcasing VR and AR technologies. With its comprehensive lineup of exhibitors, from established giants to startups in the dedicated Startup Zone, and its alignment with both national and regional development strategies, this event solidifies Hong Kong's position as a critical nexus for global technological exchange and commercial opportunity in the Asia-Pacific region.
