CCHR Exhibit Exposes Psychiatric Abuses in Scottsdale

The Citizens Commission On Human Rights (CCHR) Traveling Exhibit kicked off its grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 23, 2026, at the Mini Social event space in Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona. Local businessman Jimmy Alauria served as Master of Ceremonies, highlighting CCHR's mission to expose abuses in the mental health field. Special guest speaker Judy Renfro, a member of JustServe, shared poignant stories of addiction's toll on individuals and families, emphasizing the profound responsibility of medical professionals when prescribing psychiatric drugs. The ribbon-cutting opened the exhibit, which features graphic panels and documentaries revealing the history of false science and abuses in psychiatry. Visitors expressed shock as they learned about psychiatry's origins and realized the truth behind long-standing allegations of psychiatric abuse.

The exhibit attracted significant public interest during its Phoenix tour, with attendees deeply moved by the displays and videos. Now traveling to its next destination, the exhibit is part of a larger U.S. tour warning parents and community members about the dangers of psychiatric treatments, which CCHR claims can be lethal. The organization operates 14 identical traveling exhibits worldwide. CCHR was co-founded in 1969 by psychiatrist Dr. Thomas Szasz and the Church of Scientology.
