Angkor Resources Reports High-Grade Copper Mineralization in Cambodia Drill Hole

Angkor Resources Corp. (TSXV: ANK), a leading resource optimizer in Cambodia, has announced significant copper mineralization results from its Thmei North copper target on the Andong Bor mineral exploration license. The company reported that diamond drill hole AB25-009, completed in July 2025, returned copper mineralization over the entire 286.2 meters sampled, with grades increasing substantially at depth. The overall average was 1,309 parts per million (ppm) copper (0.13% Cu), but the bottom 67.3 meters averaged 2,181 ppm copper (0.22% Cu), including a 52.6-meter interval grading 2,493 ppm copper (0.25% Cu). The hole ended in mineralization, suggesting the copper-bearing system continues deeper, which is highly encouraging for future exploration.

Dennis Ouellette, VP Exploration and the Qualified Person for the project, emphasized the geological significance of these findings. He explained that the increase in copper grade occurred as drilling moved deeper into hornfels rock, which surrounds diorite intrusions. The contact between these rock types is steep, indicating near-vertical structures that host mineralized quartz veins. Ouellette noted that the hornfels contains more veins and higher copper grades, and copper mineralization is also present within the diorite itself. This suggests good potential for copper in both rock types, reinforcing the view that the strongest mineralization is concentrated near or within the wall rock surrounding the diorite intrusions. The deposit is described as a hybrid porphyry copper-related skarn system, with early potassic alteration overprinted by later alterations typical of copper porphyry systems—the style of deposit Angkor is exploring for at Thmei North.

The news release also highlights that a second drill hole, AB25-010, was started but halted due to the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict, with safety as the top priority. Activities on the Andong Bor license are on hold until conditions allow safe resumption. Additionally, Angkor Resources is involved in educational initiatives, assisting year-five students at the Cambodian Institute of Technology in studying a historical drill hole to advance data on copper potential and support Cambodia's future geologists.
