Kempinski Grace Bay Breaks Ground on Turks and Caicos’ Iconic Grace Bay Beach
Providenciales, Turks & Caicos – November 18, 2025 — Kempinski Hotels, Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group, together with international award-winning developer JTRE, celebrated the groundbreaking of Kempinski Grace Bay - an exclusive hotel & residential project featuring an intimate collection of private apartments and beachfront villas along the world’s most beautiful beach in Turks and Caicos.
The late-afternoon ceremony took place against the backdrop of Grace Bay’s turquoise waters and white-sand shore. In attendance were The Honourable Charles Washington Misick, Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands; Her Excellency Anya Williams, Deputy Governor of the Turks and Caicos Islands other senior government officials, and project partners from around the world. Together, they marked the beginning of a new era for the Turks and Caicos Islands, one that unites European elegance with the effortless rhythm and natural beauty of Caribbean life.
“As global interest in the Turks and Caicos Islands continues to grow, Kempinski Grace Bay brings one of the world’s most distinguished hospitality names to our pristine shores,” said Honourable Charles Washington Misick, Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands. “This development represents an important step in our evolution as a world-class destination, offering investors and visitors alike a chance to experience our cultural heritage and the beauty of our islands through the lens of luxury and impeccable service.”
Sitting gracefully across 11 acres of secluded and unspoiled shoreline, the development brings Kempinski’s 128-year legacy of European hospitality to the Turks and Caicos Islands for the first time. Developed by JTRE, the project redefines coastal living through understated architecture, attention to detail and deep respect for the natural surroundings.
“We look forward to welcoming both guests and residents to Kempinski Grace Bay,” said Barbara Muckermann, Group CEO, Kempinski Hotels. “As one of the world’s oldest hospitality groups, we are pleased to bring our art of hospitality to one of the true gems of the Caribbean and world’s most desirable destinations. The property will stand as a flagship within our portfolio - an enduring expression of our heritage, our craftsmanship, and our belief that true luxury is as timeless as the destinations 'culture and heritage.”
The property’s low-density design features 119 private residences and four oceanfront villas, all oriented toward panoramic sea views. Interiors draw inspiration from the island’s serene palette, including limestone, timber, and glass, which create a seamless dialogue between indoor and outdoor living.
“This groundbreaking marks the start of a new chapter, not only for Grace Bay but for the entire Turks and Caicos community,” said Marek Baca, Chief Representative for the Americas, JTRE. “Our vision is to create a sanctuary that blends timeless European elegance with the natural splendor of Grace Bay, setting a benchmark for luxury in the Caribbean focused on its natural seascapes and rich culture.”
Residents and guests will enjoy an array of signature amenities, including fine dining venues, a beach club, a 3,000 square foot wine cellar, a European spa, an ocean view fitness area, along with a sports pavilion featuring tennis and padel courts and a children’s club. Sustainability is woven into every detail, from insulated glass and solar systems to native landscaping nourished by recycled water.
Rasha Lababidi, Chief Product & Experience Officer, Kempinski Hotels said, “Kempinski Grace Bay will be an iconic property for the brand and a defining destination in the Americas. It captures our ethos of rarity, authenticity, and timeless grace — where every stay becomes a story and every moment is crafted with care.”
