BioUtah’s 2025 Utah Life Sciences Summit Presented by Mayer Brown Announces Early Bird Discounts and Headline Speakers

Attracting over 500 registrants, the Utah Life Sciences Summit convenes top life sciences leaders, experts, policymakers, and professionals to discuss important industry dynamics, the regulatory landscape, market trends, and strategies to promote innovation and advance healthcare.

Speakers Taking Center Stage
The following keynote speakers will cover thought-provoking topics impacting all segments of Utah’s life sciences ecosystem.
- Melissa Holyoak, Commissioner, Federal Trade Commission is a Utahn and nationally recognized lawyer with expertise in consumer protection, constitutional law, healthcare market competition, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Michelle Tarver, MD, PhD, Director of FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health, is a public health executive, board-certified in ophthalmology with a doctorate in epidemiology. She will hold a virtual FDA Town Hall discussion about the agency’s policy priorities and regulatory initiatives.
- Peter Marks, MD, Hematologist, Oncologist, is the former head of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, where he oversaw a rapid expansion in the number of FDA-approved cell and gene therapies. He also played a key role in establishing Operation Warp Speed, which accelerated the development of COVID-19 vaccines.
- Carter Dredge, Executive Director of the Intermountain Health Institute, is a global healthcare thought leader and transformationalist, who partners with some of the world’s top thinkers and doers to create novel solutions to complex problems.

The summit’s lunchtime networking program, designed to facilitate meaningful professional connections, creates space for introductions and conversation with colleagues.
The ULSS will also feature an impressive lineup of subject specific tracks, including workforce, market access, regulatory and quality, and legal.
