Avatar Medical and Kyber Obtain 3.7 Million Euros to Expand Access to Immersive 3D Imaging in Hospitals

PARIS, October 1, 2026 – Avatar Medical and Kyber today announced they have secured a grant of up to €3.7 million under the French government's France 2030 program to develop Avatar MediVerse, a project aimed at making immersive, personalized imaging available wherever clinicians and patients need it.

• Immersive 3D beyond a dedicated room. MediVerse aims to make interactive 3D anatomy accessible wherever it can be useful in the surgical journey.
• Two French deeptech expertise combined. Avatar Medical brings its expertise in 3D medical visualization and Kyber its know-how in ultra-low latency XR streaming and remote rendering.
• The same visual information throughout the care pathway. From consultation to surgical planning and into the operating room, the ambition is to enable clinicians and patients to rely on the same personalized 3D representation of the patient's anatomy.
