Purple Exhibits Runs Full AI Classroom Build for Amazon in Tampa
Amazon Taught AI at Sigma Gamma Rho's Tampa Convention - Purple Exhibits Built the Room
Fishkill, United States - August 12, 2026 / Purple Exhibits /
TAMPA, Fla., August 10, 2026 - Purple Exhibits, a full-service trade show exhibit builder and event production company, announced the successful completion of a fully connected AI classroom for Amazon at Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.'s 61st International Biennial Boule at the Tampa Convention Center.
Amazon used the custom-built classroom to deliver hands-on artificial intelligence education in a structured, interactive setting. Convention attendees were able to sit at individual computer stations, follow along with the instructor's presentation, and engage directly with AI and emerging technology concepts.
The learning experience aligned with Sigma Gamma Rho's longstanding focus on education, leadership development, community impact, and expanding opportunities for women and families.
A Real Classroom Built Inside a Live Convention
An AI classroom must function as a genuine learning environment from the moment the first attendee takes a seat - not simply appear as one.
Purple Exhibits designed the Amazon classroom with instructor visibility, clear audio delivery, comfortable seating, dependable technology, organized cabling, attendee flow, and a consistent branded presentation as the core priorities.
The complete turnkey project included:
- More than 23 fully connected computer workstations
- Complete classroom design and space planning
- A custom-produced and branded event environment
- Professional projection and presentation technology
- A full sound system engineered for clear instruction inside a busy, open convention environment
- Classroom tables, seating, flooring, and supporting furnishings
- Complete technology integration and equipment setup
- Shipping, logistics, delivery, and show-floor coordination
- Professional installation, testing, and dismantling
- Live on-site IT and technical support throughout the activation
- One experienced team managing the project from beginning to end
The professional sound system served as a critical component of the overall experience. Unlike a traditional enclosed classroom, the Amazon learning space operated within an active convention environment surrounded by ongoing conversations, nearby presentations, and continuous attendee traffic.
Purple Exhibits integrated the audio system so that Amazon's instructors could communicate clearly while participants followed the presentation from their individual computer stations.
The project was not an exhibit booth with computers and audiovisual equipment added as an afterthought.
The classroom structure, furniture, technology, projection, sound coverage, computer stations, attendee flow, instructor sightlines, and technical access were all designed as a single connected environment.
Purple Exhibits managed the complete scope - from design and production through logistics, installation, technology integration, testing, on-site support, and dismantling.
Before any learning sessions began, every workstation and audiovisual component had been installed, connected, tested, and prepared for live instruction. Purple's on-site technical team remained present throughout the event to keep the classroom operating without interruption.
"When Amazon's instructors entered the classroom, their focus needed to be on teaching - not troubleshooting computers, sound, cables, or logistics," said Itzy Holczler, Head of Sales at Purple Exhibits. "Our job was to bring the environment, technology, logistics, and on-site support together as one seamless experience. Amazon could just show up and teach."
Where Education Meets Experience
Trade shows and conventions continue to evolve. Organizations are no longer using convention spaces solely to display products. They are building classrooms, workshops, demonstration labs, content studios, technology centers, and interactive learning experiences designed to give attendees a reason to participate.
The Amazon AI classroom illustrates how a trade show exhibit company can bring together custom exhibit design, event production, audiovisual technology, IT integration, logistics, installation, and on-site support under a single project structure.
Consolidating every major responsibility with one experienced partner removes the coordination challenges that arise when separate exhibit builders, technology providers, AV companies, freight teams, installers, and on-site technicians each manage their own scope independently.
The outcome in Tampa was a fully operational Amazon AI classroom that was ready when instructors and attendees arrived.
Amazon brought the knowledge. Purple Exhibits built the environment where it could be delivered.
