Great American Media Launches National Search to Help Small-Town Churches This Christmas

NEW YORK, NY — September 29, 2026 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — With the arrival of the Christmas season, Great American Media is launching a new national initiative that celebrates the important role local churches play in caring for their communities and keeping faith at the center of Christmas. Great American Christmas: Small-Town Churches invites people across the country to nominate a small-town church they love and share how that church serves its community during Christmas, as well as how additional support from Great American Media could help achieve an even greater impact.

Churches often meet some of the most immediate needs of their communities, providing food, coats, gifts, Bibles, and support to families who need a helping hand. But their impact goes far beyond material needs. They offer a place where people can find faith, encouragement, belonging, and hope, and reconnect with the true meaning of Christmas.

“Churches are the heart of so many communities, and that takes on special meaning at Christmas,” said Kaitlyn Haubrich, Chief Brand Officer and Chief of Staff of Great American Media. “They care for families, support their neighbors, and help people stay connected to their faith and to the true meaning of Christmas. The support will be tailored to the needs of each selected church and the community it serves. This could include help with Christmas community outreach activities, food or gift ministries, children’s and family programs, worship or music programs, transportation, decorations, or another need identified by the church. Great American Media asks church members, pastors, ministry leaders, neighbors, and viewers to help identify churches that are caring for those around them and making Christmas especially meaningful in their communities.

Nominations will be accepted through October 15 at Great American Christmas: Small-Town Churches. The selected churches will be announced on October 27 and will be celebrated on Great American Media’s social and digital platforms.
