DALLAS - January 30, 2026 (NEWMEDIAWIRE) - Award-winning actress Laura Linney, alongside musical guests Nicole Scherzinger and Amy Grant, headlined a roster of influential leaders in music, entertainment, fashion and philanthropy to officially mark the start of American Heart Month at the Red Dress Collection® Concert on Thursday, January 29. The fashion-forward, musical celebration in New York City serves as the national marquee event for the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women® movement, which harnesses the energy, passion and power of women to band together to wipe out heart disease, their number one killer.

The American Heart Association, the world’s leading nonprofit organization focused on changing the future of health for all, hosted the concert in the Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City. Each year, the event builds on the iconic tradition of the Red Dress Collection fashion show founded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s The Heart Truth® program two decades ago, adding musical performances and personal stories of those affected by cardiovascular disease. According to the American Heart Association, more than 4 in 10 women in the U.S. have some form of cardiovascular disease, including heart disease and stroke – a figure that is only expected to grow.

Red Dress Collection Concert host Laura Linney, an Academy Award- and Tony Award-nominated, Emmy-, Golden Globe- and SAG Award–winning actress, wore Rubin Singer. Linney started the show by highlighting the complexities of heart health and the toll it takes on families, including caregivers, while also advocating to make women’s heart health an issue that is visible, understandable and personal. She then introduced the evening’s opening entertainment, Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Amy Grant. Grant wore Tadashi Shoji on the red carpet. Wearing Maison Tai for her performance, she sang “Baby Baby” “That’s What Love is For,” “The Me That Remains,” and “Every Heartbeat.”

Grant receives Woman Changing the World award

Following her performance, American Heart Association Chief Executive Officer Nancy Brown presented Grant with the Woman Changing the World award, in recognition of her commitment to and support of the mission of the American Heart Association. Born with a congenital heart defect, Grant had open heart surgery in 2020. She has become a powerful advocate for heart health, sharing her personal story to inspire women to prioritize their well-being. Through her “heart to heart” advice in public service announcements and national campaigns, Grant is educating millions about heart disease risk and prevention.

This year’s concert was headlined by Grammy-nominated, Tony Award–winning performer Nicole Scherzinger, who wore Nicole + Felicia on the red carpet, DO LONG on the runway and Jenny Packham for the show. She kicked off her set with a rousing rendition of Broadway hit “Don’t Rain On My Parade,” followed by “I Put a Spell on You,” “Diamonds Are Forever,” “With One Look,” “Purple Rain,” “Stickwitu,” “Buttons” and “Don’t Cha.”

Holding true to the Red Dress Collection’s origin in fashion, stars of stage and screen walked the runway in red ensembles created by some of fashion’s brightest talents.
