Walmart is hosting a job fair focused on filling technician roles throughout the Southeast on Tuesday, July 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hyatt House in Sandy Springs, Ga. The fair is focused on hiring skilled individuals for the following roles: exterior services, general maintenance workers and commercial rack refrigeration technicians.

Compensation for these positions varies by role, with exterior services positions starting at $19-26/hour, general maintenance workers starting at $22-29/hour and refrigeration technicians starting at $27-34/hour, all depending on experience and specialty. Walmart has also opened additional internal avenues to fill these roles, including expanding its Associate to Technician (A2T) program, which aims to train and upskill 4,000 current associates into technicians by 2030.

All applicants are required to be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and present valid, state-issued photo identification.
