Ross Dress for Less to Expand in the Detroit Area
Dublin, California, October 7, 2025 – Today, Ross Stores, operator of the largest off-price retail chain in the United States, announced that four new Ross Dress for Less stores will open in the Detroit area on October 11th as part of a broader wave of new stores opening nationwide.
“We’re excited to grow our presence in the Detroit area with the addition of four new stores across the local community.” said Richard Lietz, Executive Vice President, Property Development. “This expansion is a step forward in our efforts to reach more customers with high quality merchandise, great brands, and incredible savings. Ross continues to invest in the communities where we operate stores and as a result, the Company plans to donate a total of $20,000 to local Boys & Girls Clubs and The Carpenter Elementary School via First Book Marketplace.”

In support of the grand openings, the Company will also make donations to local charities, including:
- The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan – Lloyd H. Diehl Club
- The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan – Dick & Sandy Dauch Campus NFL/YET
- The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint – Peak Extension
- The Carpenter Elementary School via First Book Marketplace
The four stores range from 22,000 to 23,500 square feet in size. Each new store is expected to create on average 55-60 jobs, consisting of both full- and part-time employees. After the October openings, Ross Dress for Less will have 23 stores in the state of Michigan.
