MS Tech Announces that its Food Safety & Agritech Division has been Awarded a Prestigious R&D Grant for Developing Innovative Biosensors for Soil and Groundwater Contamination

HERZLIYA, ISRAEL, January 22, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- MS Tech Ltd. - a global developer, manufacturer, and innovator of nano and biosensors, announces that its Food Safety & Agritech Division secured a coveted R&D grant of approx. $1.7 million from the Israel Innovation Authority as part of the "Green Soil" National Consortium, focused on advanced biotechnology detection, diagnostics and monitoring solutions. The flagship program targets the development of innovative biological technology for in situ soil and groundwater monitoring, purification and diagnostics.

The "Green Soil" Consortium is chaired and led by Elbit Systems and consists of 10 industrial companies and 16 leading academic research groups for developing biological technologies dedicated to The treatment, monitoring and diagnosing PFAS environmental pollutants (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances), fuel, toxic liquids, and explosives residues in soil and groundwater using biological components, biosensors and bacteria, along with new soil penetration techniques.

The innovative developments are expected to generate effective and eco-friendly environmental solutions to a market estimated at billions of dollars locally, and open new markets for the Consortium participants estimated at hundreds of billions of dollars globally.

"MS Tech is honored to once again be selected to participate in this national initiative. Following a rigorous scientific and technological due diligence process, the Israel Innovation Authority recognized MS Tech's strategic role in advancing biosensors-driven technologies, and awarded the R&D grant to support the further development of its biosensors and bio-convergence capabilities under the "Green Soil" Consortium, said Doron Shalom, CEO of MS Tech.

We are now continuing the national efforts, demonstrating how MS Tech's proven nanosensors and biosensors can become "Dual-Use" and applied for new market applications supporting soil decontamination, land rehabilitation and future development across multiple civilian sectors.

"MS Tech is developing biosensors that will transform the face of early diagnostics and enable field screening in seconds," Doron continues. "Our proven sensor technologies are deployed in over 72 countries and have gradually replaced old analytical instrumentation given our green, non-radioactive and gas-free products enabling a dramatic reduction in cost per sample and operational expenses while keeping our planet green and safe."

Doron adds ,"On behalf of MS Tech, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Israel Innovation Authority for its recognition of our technology in the "Green Soil" Consortium and previously in the LIQUIDBX Consortium; as well as to Elbit Systems for leading these efforts and to the academic and industry partners who have been working intensively on this project for over a year.
