More Than a War Story

NEW YORK, NY, October 25, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In an era of unprecedented national division, one man's faith becomes his compass. Perry Fox's poignant debut novel, Lincoln's Double: Friend or Foe, is a powerful exploration of how belief in God can guide a person through the darkest of times.

The novel's protagonist, Frank Fox, is a man shaped by the prayers and teachings of his devout Presbyterian mother. From the simple grace before meals in his Florida home to the desperate prayers uttered in a Union prison, Frank's relationship with God is the constant thread in his tumultuous journey. When he is thrust into the impossible role of Abraham Lincoln's secret double, it is his faith that helps him navigate the moral complexities of his situation. He sees Lincoln not just as a political target, but as a man of deep conviction, wrestling with his own destiny.

Frank's spiritual journey is mirrored by Lincoln's own visions and reliance on prayer. Their bond, forged in the fires of war, transcends politics and speaks to a shared humanity under God. Even in the face of ultimate tragedy and personal failure, Frank turns to prayer, finding a peace that passes all understanding and becoming a source of comfort for his fellow prisoners.

Lincoln's Double: Friend or Foe is a testament to the enduring power of faith. It is a story for readers who appreciate historical fiction with depth, exploring how providence, forgiveness, and unwavering belief can shape a man's life and legacy.
