She finished her schooling with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Walden University in 2015, following a Master of Arts in Psychology in 2008 and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Philosophy & Religion from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2003.

Her clinical education encompasses an APPIC-accredited pre-doctoral internship and a practicum in outpatient mental health care, where she administered therapy and executed assessments for a myriad of demographics, including patients grappling with autism and substance abuse.

As a Licensed Psychologist, Dr. Ibbotson creates a supportive, caring atmosphere for people of all ages. She offers a wide range of therapy options, ensuring each person gets the right help.

She also mentors new psychologists and postdoctoral fellows, while also carefully evaluating their progress.
