NEW YORK, NY, May 07, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Healthy Humor (HH), a national, nonprofit arts organization whose professional performers are specially-trained to work in the hospital environment to create laughter and comfort for hospitalized children and families, is pleased to announce a new collaboration with Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford, the center of the Stanford Medicine Children's Health network, which is the largest health care system in the San Francisco Bay Area exclusively dedicated to pediatric and obstetric care.

Starting this summer, HH's Red Nose Docs, professional artists from a variety of disciplines, will operate twice a week at Packard Children's. This group of actors, musicians, magicians, and improv artists will create spontaneous, joyful, individualized interactions with patients. They will visit patient rooms and other areas of the hospital identified by Packard Children's staff where they can have the greatest impact. The Red Nose Docs program aids in alleviating the stress and fear of young patients. Along with Packard Children's health care teams, the performers engage children in play, facilitate compliance with treatment, and bring a spirit of lightness wherever they go.
