Global Virtual Summit Puts the Spotlight on Sickle Cell Caregivers
ATLANTA, GA, November 08, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Sickle Cell Community Consortium (SC3), in collaboration with Cleverly Changing, LLC, The B Strong Group, and Discovering Moorer2Life, proudly announces the Fifth Annual Sickle Cell Caregiver Summit, taking place virtually from November 13–16, 2025.
This year's theme, "The Heart of Caregiving: Balancing Mental Wellness, Advocacy, and Legacy," celebrates the resilience of caregivers who transform pain into purpose while standing on the front lines of the fight against sickle cell disease. The summit invites caregivers, patients, healthcare providers, and advocates from across the globe to unite for four days of education, empowerment, and inspiration.
Supported by Title Sponsor Vertex Pharmaceuticals and Platinum Plus Sponsor Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, the event continues to grow as one of the largest caregiver-led conferences in the sickle cell community. Through their generosity—and that of additional sponsors—the summit continues to amplify the voices of caregivers and ensure that their stories remain central to the national sickle cell dialogue.
"This is more than a conference—it's a lifeline," says Elle Cole, founder of Cleverly Changing, LLC. "Each session is designed by caregivers for caregivers, creating a safe space to learn, connect, and heal together."
Highlights Include:
Mental Health & Wellness Sessions: Daily workshops providing practical tools for emotional resilience and spiritual renewal.
Family-Centered Programming:
Tailored discussions for parents, siblings, spouses, and extended family members who share in the caregiving journey.
Entertainment & Exclusive Screening:
Interactive games, prizes, and a sneak peek at an upcoming sickle cell docuseries by acclaimed filmmaker Janks Morton.
For over a decade, the Sickle Cell Community Consortium has been a national leader in bridging the gap between research and real-life patient experiences. The Sickle Cell Caregiver Summit continues that legacy—connecting communities, advancing advocacy, and promoting mental wellness within families who live the realities of sickle cell every day.
