1992 Nissan Figaro: Retro Charm Meets Turbocharged Flair

FORT WORTH, TX, December 16, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The DFW Car & Toy Museum is excited to unveil a rare and delightful addition to The Ron Sturgeon Collection: a 1992 Nissan Figaro, freshly imported from Japan in June 2024 and now gracing the museum floor in Fort Worth. Quirky, charming, and ahead of its time, the Figaro is a cult classic that turns heads wherever it goes.

Originally sold only in Japan and limited to around 20,000 units, the Nissan Figaro was designed as a retro-styled city car based on the Nissan Micra. This particular example, originally painted Emerald Green, has been tastefully resprayed in an elegant Champagne finish, giving it a one-of-a-kind glow while maintaining its vintage appeal.

Under the hood, the Figaro packs a punch with its turbocharged 987cc MA10ET inline-four, rated at 75 horsepower and 78 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a smooth three-speed automatic transaxle, making it both peppy and practical for cruising.

The Figaro's fixed-profile convertible top adds an open-air feel, while its right-hand-drive cabin is an aesthetic triumph. Inside, you'll find Crème leather seats with green piping, a cozy two-place rear bench, and all the retro flair you'd expect from a design that was both nostalgic and futuristic. With just 83,000 kilometers (~52,000 miles) on the odometer, this car is ready to charm a whole new audience.

With its MacPherson strut front suspension, independent four-link rear, and a lightweight chassis, the Figaro delivers a surprisingly refined ride for a car of its class. Disc brakes up front and drum brakes in the rear ensure confident stopping power.

"The Figaro is a dream car for anyone who loves vintage style and clever engineering," says Ron Sturgeon, owner of the DFW Car & Toy Museum. "It's playful, it's rare, and it's impossible not to smile when you see it."

Whether you're a fan of Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) imports, unique design, or just want to relive the best of 1990s automotive whimsy, the 1992 Nissan Figaro is a must-see.
