YDC 2026 Crowns Tsui Ao Lung as Champion in Dazzling Hong Kong Finale

The Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ Contest 2026 (YDC) concluded with a spectacular grand finale at CENTRESTAGE, Asia’s premier fashion event, held in Hong Kong from September 9, 2026. The contest, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), showcased the creativity of ten emerging local designers. Cheang King Tung, Kenneth won two awards: the Excellence Award and Best Art Direction Award, for his collection “NOSTALGIA,” which drew from the 1983 film Nostalghia and Hong Kong’s industrial landscapes, earning him cash prizes and a course at VOGUE College of Fashion. Lam Chun Ni, Jenny took home the My Favourite Collection Award for “The Old Si-Fut and New Chai,” exploring workplace dynamics between veterans and rookies, winning a HK$30,000 shopping voucher. The judging panel, chaired by Katherine Fang, included international figures like Rok Hwang, who praised the fusion of Hong Kong culture and creativity.
