This shift means visa strategy now dictates lifestyle, schedules, and travel freedom, with applicants no longer able to arrive on short entry status and "figure it out later."

The core issue, as highlighted by senior instructor Kru Chart, is the verification of intent rather than just documents. MTVT warns that the most common failure mode is "category error," where applicants choose a visa category that doesn't match their reality—such as remote workers posing as full-time ED students to avoid stronger financial proof.
