SS Innovations Unveils Drone, Humanoid, and Mobile OR Robots at SMRSC 2026

SS Innovations International, Inc. The SSi Vimana Aero is a surgical robotic system designed to be deployed via heavy-lift autonomous drone to deliver expert robotic surgical care to wounded soldiers in active battle zones. It features two miniature robotic arms with seven degrees of freedom, operated remotely by a trauma surgeon through an SSi Mantra surgeon command center, enabling procedures like hemorrhage control and wound repair. The SSi Avtara is a humanoid surgical platform leveraging AI and teleoperation for high-impact applications in healthcare, defense, and disaster response. The SSi Operion is a fully mobile, platform-agnostic operating room with overhead-integrated robotics and telesurgery capabilities, designed for rapid deployment. Additionally, the single-arm robotic endoscopy and ultrasound assist carts are undergoing early clinical validation in India, providing stable, precise instrument positioning under clinician supervision.

SMRSC 2026 drew over 1,600 in-person and 1,800 virtual attendees from 19 nations, featuring 10 live telesurgeries and 13 live robotic surgeries using the SSi Mantra system.
