Sonoma County Tool Library Gets Boost from Estate Sale

The Sonoma County Tool Library, a nonprofit lending library that helps residents borrow tools rather than buy them, is set to benefit from a community estate sale on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 595 Hwy 116 N in Sebastopol. The sale is part of a broader modernization and community outreach effort for the Tool Library, located at 427 Mendocino Ave inside coLAB in Santa Rosa, serving residents across Sonoma County, including Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, Graton, Forestville, and the broader West County.

Martin Reed, a West Sonoma County real estate agent affiliated with eXp Realty and Executive Director of the Sonoma County Tool Library, is leading infrastructure improvements, volunteer and donor recruitment, and public awareness campaigns. The modernization includes a rebuilt public website at borrowtools.org, a migrated membership and lending system carrying 2,858 borrower records, and a developing partnership with the Sonoma County Library. The organization is also recruiting board members, volunteers, and donors to strengthen its role as a community resource for home repair, property upkeep, fire-wise maintenance, and sustainability.
