Single Social Club Launches Activity-First Dating Alternative

Tampa Bay matchmaker Felicity G. Morgan, founder of Assured Matchmaking, has launched Single Social Club, an activity-first social platform that explicitly rejects the swipe-to-date model. Co-founded with technology lead Greg Miceli, the web app lets verified singles choose from over 157 activities—kayaking, pickleball, dining, trivia, fitness, attractions and entertainment—then filters by travel distance, comfortable age ranges and actual availability. Instead of an endless catalog of photos, the system finds overlapping free time and builds small groups of roughly six to eight people. Members interact under code names like Bee, Fox, Moon or Turtle, so they can coordinate without handing out phone numbers or full identities before meeting. The platform uses verification and privacy safeguards, though it acknowledges no system can guarantee behavior.

Morgan argues that modern dating has become too efficient at disqualifying people, citing viral formats such as Pop the Balloon, which makes rejection immediate, and Love Is Blind, which tests connection before appearance. Single Social Club flips the sequence: activity first, person second, romance only if it develops. After an outing, members can privately indicate interest; one-sided interest stays private, while mutual interest can optionally be supported by Assured Matchmaking. Miceli says the technology is designed to get people off their screens, handling coordination so real-world experiences can happen.

Launching first in Tampa Bay, the web app is accessible via browser and can be saved to a phone home screen. Introductory access costs $1 for 30 days; Basic membership then renews at $20 per month for up to five activity opportunities, with third-party costs separate. Morgan’s pitch is not a guaranteed soulmate but a richer single life. “If you meet somebody interesting, great,” she says. “If you don’t, you still had a life that day.”
