Ricky Gleason Makes Final Push in Kendall County Judge Runoff

With just weeks to go before the May 26 Republican primary runoff for Kendall County Judge, candidate Ricky Gleason is making his final pitch to voters, emphasizing the need for leadership that listens, plans ahead, and preserves the Hill Country way of life. Gleason, a lifelong resident, financial advisor, and former two-term member of the Boerne Planning and Zoning Commission, advanced to the runoff after earning 39,979 votes (40.94%) in the March 3 primary, falling short of the 50% majority needed. Since no Democrat is running, the winner of the runoff will be the next County Judge. Gleason's campaign is built on a 'CEO mindset' for county government, drawing on his experience as a partner and financial advisor at Prime Capital Financial and co-founder of Forge Business Brokerage. He emphasizes servant leadership, consensus-building, and fiscal responsibility.

Gleason has introduced a three-horizon planning framework to address rapid growth from the Texas Triangle and Interstate 10 corridor. The plan outlines three phases: 0-3 years focusing on immediate safety and emergency response needs; 3-10 years on aligning infrastructure investments for mobility and water; and 10+ years on long-term stewardship of water resources, property rights, and rural character. Water is identified as the single greatest long-term challenge, and Gleason advocates for proactive collaboration through the Priority Groundwater Management Area. He also pledges support for volunteer fire departments and EMS teams, calling them the backbone of public safety. His deep roots in the community include serving on boards of the Boys and Girls Club of Kendall County, the 100 Club of Kendall County, and Hope for Heroes.
