Rare 1967 Toyota 2000GT Joins DFW Car & Toy Museum

The legendary 1967 Toyota 2000GT, a car that reshaped global perceptions of Japanese engineering, has joined the Ron Sturgeon Collection at the DFW Car & Toy Museum in Fort Worth, Texas. Co-developed with Yamaha and styled by Albrecht Goertz, the 2000GT was originally offered to Nissan, which declined. Toyota then built this hand-crafted masterpiece with the soul of a Porsche and the elegance of a Jaguar XKE, challenging icons like the Porsche 911 and Jaguar E-Type. Powered by a high-revving DOHC inline-six and capable of 130 mph, the 2000GT achieved racing success under Carroll Shelby in SCCA events.
