Pure Flix Familia Launches Novelitas™ Microdrama Channel

Great American Media has expanded its Spanish-language streaming service, Pure Flix Familia, with the launch of Novelitas™, a new channel dedicated to microdramas—short-form vertical series designed for mobile viewing—that emphasize faith, family, love, and Latino culture. The channel debuts with three original productions from Minivela, a production company led by CEO Manny Ruiz, including the Spanish-language Christmas romantic comedy Alquilé Un Novio Para Navidad (I Rented a Boyfriend for Christmas), produced in Ecuador with Red Minds Films. The other two titles are Cholita Takes L.A., a bilingual story about a Bolivian fashionista and lucha libre queen who travels to Los Angeles to reconnect with her grandmother, and Sabrina, a coming-of-age tale centered on a 15-year-old’s quinceañera and her struggle between tradition and identity.
