Puerto Rico's Day at the Ballpark 2026 Heads to Colorado, Chicago, and LA

Puerto Rico's Day at the Ballpark, presented by Discover Puerto Rico and produced by 21 Events, continues its 2026 nationwide series with three upcoming celebrations in Colorado, Chicago, and Los Angeles. The series celebrates the deep connection between Puerto Rico and baseball, recognizing Puerto Rican players who have made significant contributions to the sport. The events will take place at Coors Field on August 18, Rate Field on August 22, and Dodger Stadium on August 23, each featuring in-stadium experiences, player recognitions, and Puerto Rico-themed elements.

At Coors Field, the Colorado Rockies will honor Willi Castro and Coach Andy González, with a first pitch by Benjamin Oaks, owner of Aguanile, Denver's first Puerto Rican dinner club. In Chicago, legendary ballplayer Roberto Hernandez will be recognized, and award-winning Puerto Rican chef Monti Carlo will throw the first pitch. At Dodger Stadium, Kiké Hernández and Edwin Diaz will be honored, with Estefanía Soto, former Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2020, throwing the first pitch. All stadiums will showcase a 60-second scoreboard video highlighting the island's beauty and heritage.

Discover Puerto Rico CEO Jorge L. Pérez emphasized the generational impact of Puerto Rican players, noting Carlos Beltrán's recent induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
