Prepare Now: Active 2026 Hurricane Season Predicted

According to a NewsUSA release, the United States has experienced twice as many weather-related outages in the past decade compared to the early 2000s. Forecasters predict an active 2026 season, with Colorado State University anticipating 13 named storms, six hurricanes, and two major hurricanes of Category 3 or higher. The devastating impact of recent storms is highlighted: Hurricanes Milton and Helene in 2024 caused roughly 9.5 million power outages and over $113 billion in damages.
