OMRON Donates 3,000 Blood Pressure Monitors for May Measurement Month 2026

OMRON Healthcare Co., Ltd., a global leader in clinically proven medical devices for home health monitoring, has announced its support for May Measurement Month 2026, an annual blood pressure screening and awareness campaign held in conjunction with World Hypertension Day (May 17). The company will donate approximately 3,000 blood pressure monitors worldwide, including models capable of detecting the possibility of atrial fibrillation (AFib). This initiative underscores OMRON's commitment to early detection and management of hypertension, the leading risk factor for cardiovascular disease, which causes over 10 million deaths annually. Since the campaign's inception in 2017, May Measurement Month has screened over 7 million individuals, identifying more than 1 million with previously untreated hypertension. OMRON has supported the campaign from the start, donating around 33,000 monitors to date across 120 countries and regions.

The 2026 campaign, running from May to July, will include screening events, blood pressure measurement sessions, and educational activities on lifestyle changes for hypertension management. OMRON's donation includes models that can screen for AFib, a common but underdiagnosed arrhythmia that significantly increases stroke and heart failure risk. Professor Neil R.
