LiftFund Launches $10K Grants for Texas Hill Country Flood Recovery

As communities across the Texas Hill Country are once again impacted by devastating flooding, LiftFund has launched the 2026 Texas Hill Country Flood Relief Program to help small businesses and nonprofits access funding and support. Many businesses were still recovering from last year's floods when new storms hit, compounding challenges. Through the program, eligible small businesses and nonprofit organizations may apply for grants of up to $10,000 for recovery efforts, including rebuilding, repair expenses, replacement of lost or damaged equipment, and general operating expenses. Applicants must have been operating on or before July 1, 2025, be located in one of 16 specified counties, and demonstrate negative economic impact from the July 2026 floods.

LiftFund President and CEO Amy Hereford emphasized the organization's commitment: “Our hearts are with the Texas small businesses that are facing yet another tragic disaster. When disasters strike, they need trusted partners who can respond in a matter of days to sustain the business and its employees.” Over the past year, LiftFund has deployed 525 grants and loans totaling more than $17 million for Hill Country businesses. For over three decades, LiftFund has helped entrepreneurs recover from disasters like hurricanes, wildfires, floods, and the COVID-19 pandemic, developing purpose-built systems prioritizing speed, accountability, and equitable access to capital. Hereford noted, “Every small business that reopens strengthens its community. When entrepreneurs can recover, employees return to work, families regain stability, and local economies begin moving forward again.”
