James Childers Named 2026 Future of Field Service Stand Out 50 Leader

James Childers, MBA, MSML, has been named a 2026 Future of Field Service Stand Out 50 Leader, joining an international, cross-industry group of service leaders recognized for their impact on the evolving service landscape. The 2026 Stand Out 50 recipients were announced on September 24 during Future of Field Service Live in London, celebrating peer-nominated leaders who are making a meaningful impact through innovative approaches, authentic leadership, and exceptional execution of service strategies. Following the announcement, Childers and the 2026 Stand Out 50 class were featured on the Nasdaq digital billboard in Times Square in New York City.

The recognition marks another milestone in Childers' 22-year career in the service industry, including more than two decades of progressively broader operational and executive leadership. His experience spans service operations, business development, organizational growth, and executive leadership, with a career focused on building high-performing teams, strengthening operational performance, and creating organizations positioned for sustainable growth. Childers currently serves as Vice President of Service and Automation – California and Nevada at Intech Mechanical Company, Inc., where he holds executive responsibility for service operations across both markets. Throughout his career, he has held progressively broader leadership roles with responsibility for operations, growth, business performance, team development, and organizational strategy.

Childers is a U.S. Navy veteran and holds a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Science in Management and Leadership, and a bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership. Reflecting on the honor, Childers said, “Twenty-two years ago, I had no idea where a career in service would take me. Seeing my face in Times Square is something I never could have imagined. But what makes this recognition meaningful isn't the billboard. It's the people who helped build the road that led there — the technicians who taught me the business, the leaders who took chances on me, the customers who trusted us and the teams I've had the privilege to lead.” He added, “My name might be on the billboard, but there are a lot of fingerprints on it.” His leadership philosophy centers on developing people, strengthening execution, and building organizations capable of sustainable growth.
