The American Heart Association has announced five groundbreaking finalists in its 8th annual Health Tech Competition, hosted by the Center for Health Technology & Innovation, as the organization tackles the critical gap between healthcare innovation and adoption for cardiovascular conditions. Heart disease and stroke remain the world's leading causes of death, creating an urgent need for technological solutions that can bridge this healthcare divide. The competition provides a vital platform for companies developing innovative technologies to prevent or treat cardiovascular conditions including high blood pressure, stroke, heart failure, and related disorders, with final presentations scheduled for November 8-9 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center during the Association's flagship Scientific Sessions 2025 event.

This year's diverse group of finalists represents cutting-edge approaches to cardiovascular care from across the globe. Brainomix from Oxford, England is developing AI-powered software to revolutionize stroke diagnosis and treatment decisions, while San Francisco-based Cambrian Health builds an AI platform ensuring clinical best practices are executed seamlessly at the point of care. Boston's Lumia delivers wearable solutions for people with orthostatic intolerance and chronic blood flow disorders, Berlin's Noah Labs transforms voice into a digital biomarker for earlier intervention in cardiometabolic diseases, and Houston-based PolyVascular develops minimally invasive solutions for children with congenital heart disease to reduce the need for repeated open-heart surgeries. These innovations will be evaluated by an impressive panel of expert judges including medical professionals, venture capitalists, and healthcare leaders based on validity, scientific rigor, and impact on patient outcomes.

The winning company will receive complimentary membership in the Center for Health Technology & Innovation's Innovators' Network, a powerful consortium connecting entrepreneurs, providers, researchers, and payers to advance cardiovascular and brain health innovation.
