Glen Rose, TX Unveils Packed November Events Calendar

Glen Rose, Texas—the official Dinosaur Capital of Texas—has unveiled a packed calendar this November, inviting visitors to turn a day trip into a full weekend getaway. Tourism Director Traci Niedziela emphasizes that “with so much happening, one day is never enough,” and the lineup supports that claim with events spanning music, art, rodeo, food, and family fun.

The month kicks off November 5 with Open Mic Night at The Palace Public House, followed by the First Friday Art Walk and an art class at Noblemen Wine on November 6. That same weekend brings the high-energy Cinch Breakaway rodeo at The Expo, the Chili Cook-Off at Dinosaur Valley RV Park, and back-to-back live music at Loco Coyote Grill. On November 7, Dinosaur Valley State Park hosts the 2nd Annual Dino-Bility Day, an inclusive event with ASL interpreters, while Sledge Distillery celebrates its 10-year anniversary with bluegrass and craft spirits. Classic-car fans can enjoy the MG Car Show on the Downtown Square, and the following weekend features the Let’s Give Thanks performance horse event and more live music.

Beyond the events, visitors can download the Dinosaur Pass on the free Bandwango app for a scavenger hunt of 98 dinosaur sculptures, earning complimentary entry to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. Start at the Visitors Center to meet Rexanne, the animatronic T. rex, and stroll the Paluxy River Walk. For full details, lodging, and trip planning, visit the Glen Rose Calendar of Events.
