GeoVax CEO to Discuss Resilient Infectious Disease Preparedness in May 28 Webinar

GeoVax Labs, Inc. (Nasdaq: GOVX), a clinical-stage biotechnology company, announced that Chairman & CEO David Dodd will participate in a webinar titled “Ebola, Marburg, Hantavirus, Mpox and Beyond: Building a Resilient Infectious Disease Preparedness Strategy,” hosted by Tribe Public on May 28, 2026. The webinar aims to discuss the limitations of reactive, single-threat approaches to global health security and highlight the potential of platform-based vaccine technologies. GeoVax is advancing MVA-based vaccine technologies designed to address multiple viral threats, including orthopoxviruses and hemorrhagic fever viruses, and to bolster domestic and global biodefense infrastructure.

David Dodd emphasized that recent outbreaks of Ebola, Marburg, Mpox, and Hantavirus underscore the need for a versatile preparedness strategy. GeoVax’s priority program, GEO-MVA, is a Modified Vaccinia Ankara (MVA)–based vaccine targeting mpox and smallpox, which is progressing toward a pivotal Phase 3 clinical trial in the second half of 2026.
