Emerald Kaia Super Yacht Completes Sea Trials, Set for 2026 Debut

Emerald Cruises & Tours, part of the Scenic Group, has achieved a major milestone with the successful completion of sea trials for its new super yacht, Emerald Kaia, in Halong Bay, Vietnam. This critical testing phase, which confirmed the vessel's performance, maneuverability, and seaworthiness, marks a significant step toward the yacht's highly anticipated entry into service. The trials were conducted from the group's shipyard in Halong Bay, paving the way for final commissioning ahead of the inaugural sailing scheduled for April 4, 2026. This development underscores Scenic Group's ongoing commitment to quality, innovation, and delivering unique luxury guest experiences across its expanding fleet of boutique vessels.

Emerald Kaia is designed as a next-generation super yacht offering a relaxed luxury experience for just 128 guests. The vessel features purpose-built amenities including expansive lounges, terraces, and decks adorned with Missoni decor and furnishings. New interconnecting suites provide added flexibility for families and groups, while generously sized staterooms and suites ensure contemporary comfort. Notable onboard features include an all-new Observation Sun Deck with an additional Spa Pool, sun loungers, and shaded areas for enjoying coastal views and sunsets. An innovative indoor/outdoor gym with state-of-the-art wellness equipment is located adjacent to the marina platform, allowing guests to exercise with fresh sea air and then cool off with a refreshing swim directly from the platform.

The yacht will also debut a new design for its signature restaurant, La Cucina, featuring a vibrant open kitchen that enhances the culinary experience. Additionally, the new Night Market Grill offers an intimate private dining experience for just eight guests, available at an additional cost.
