BTRT Video Showcases Youth Journey into TCM

Beijing Tong Ren Tang Chinese Medicine Company Limited (BTRT) (3613.HK) has released a new video showcasing its Hong Kong "Student Ambassador Programme for Chinese Medicine and Health Care," a youth engagement initiative designed to fuel young people's interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The programme, rooted in BTRT's 350-year history, immerses primary and secondary school students in hands-on experiences, 5G technology exploration, and community activities to make TCM accessible and relevant. The video highlights students learning about the TCM principle of "preventive treatment of disease," discovering how herbs support daily wellness, and gaining insight into Chinese medicine therapies in sports recovery. Students also visited BTRT's Hong Kong production and R&D base, toured the Tong Ren Tang Museum, and participated in workshops on traditional pharmaceutical craftsmanship.

The programme extends beyond the classroom, introducing students to innovation in TCM. At China Mobile 5G Innovation Centre Hong Kong Open Lab, students explored how 5G, AIoT, and AI can support smarter health scenarios, and learned how connected sensors and AI can monitor Chinese herbal planting. Student ambassadors also serve as health mentors for the elderly, sharing wellness knowledge and leading activities like Ba Duan Jin and acupoint-based care. The programme has been extended into a long-term initiative, now in its second year, with new additions like the "Campus Herbal Medicine Baizi Cabinet" and visits to BTRT's herbal garden to teach about seasonal wellness and balance. Guided by the vision of "Inheriting Traditional Chinese Medicine, Inspiring a Smarter Future," BTRT aims to pass on TCM wisdom to younger generations.
