Brown Girls Rising Returns to Atlanta to Open Black History Month

Brown Girls Rising, the acclaimed child-led stage production written by 7-time NAACP Award-winning writer Dr. Kinnik Sky, returns to Atlanta on January 30, 31, and February 1, 2026, to usher in Black History Month in the city known as the Black Mecca. This moving theatrical experience centers the emotional journeys of young Black girls as they discover their voices, challenge expectations, and step confidently into their identities. Originally conceived as an industry showcase, the production quickly evolved after its debut due to overwhelming audience and industry response, with prominent casting director Leslie M. Green calling it "pure magic" and film producer Errol Sadler describing it as beautiful and deeply impactful.
