African Voices Launches 'Harvest' Podcast for Black History Month

African Voices, a respected non-profit arts organization with a 34-year legacy of amplifying diverse creative voices across the African diaspora, proudly announces the launch of "Harvest," a compelling new podcast series debuting during Black History Month. This limited series, named to symbolize the long, evolving process of cultural work that ultimately yields beauty and abundance, will spotlight conversations with established and emerging artists shaping contemporary culture. The inaugural season launches with three powerful episodes featuring groundbreaking voices: award-winning filmmaker Samantha Knowles, who recently received the Reel Sisters Trailblazer Award 2025 and is gaining acclaim for her film "Katrina: Come Hell and High Water"; Amy Andrieux, Executive Director of the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA), who shares insights from the latest exhibition "Beyond Rage"; and Gregory Gates, founder of Eucalyptus Entertainment, who discusses his remarkable journey from Apollo Theater spoken word contestant to producing major events at venues like Madison Square Garden.

The podcast represents a significant expansion of African Voices' mission to foster cultural understanding through art, literature, and film, building on their established reputation in publishing African Voices magazine, which reaches over 38,000 followers and has earned national respect in literary communities. Founder Carolyn Butts explains that the name "Harvest" reflects the organization's commitment to nurturing creative processes that eventually yield abundant cultural contributions.
