Learn to Save a Life With CPR at Super Bowl LX

DALLAS - February 2, 2026 (NEWMEDIAWIRE) - Football fans can learn how to save a life during this year’s Super Bowl Experience. The American Heart Association’s Nation of Lifesavers™ Mobile CPR Unit will be on site at the National Football League’s (NFL) Super Bowl Experience taking place at the Moscone Convention Center in downtown San Francisco. Qualified CPR trainers will provide Hands-Only CPR instruction to attendees while the legendary fan experience is open to the public Tuesday, Feb. 3 through Saturday, Feb. 7. In this walk-up style instruction format, participants will learn the correct rate and depth of CPR compressions needed to join the American Heart Association’s Nation of Lifesavers.

The American Heart Association, a global force changing the future of health for all, is once again collaborating with the National Football League (NFL) to bring Hands-Only CPR education to events throughout Super Bowl week. According to the defining science produced by the American Heart Association, compression-only CPR, known as Hands-Only CPR, can be equally effective as traditional CPR in the first few minutes of emergency response and is a skill everyone everywhere can learn. It is as simple as calling 911 if you see a teen or adult suddenly collapse and then pushing hard and fast in the center of the chest[1].

“When more people know CPR, more lives can be saved. Teaching fans CPR during the Super Bowl Experience transforms one of the world’s biggest sporting events into a powerful opportunity for public health impact,” said Nancy Brown, chief executive officer of the American Heart Association. “By collaborating with the NFL, the American Heart Association is working to help ensure that everyone, everywhere is prepared to act in a cardiac emergency. Together, we are building a Nation of Lifesavers.”

The NFL and the American Heart Association want more people to be confident and capable when faced with a cardiac emergency, adding more people to the Association’s Nation of Lifesavers™ movement, which intends to double survival rates by 2030.

NFL supports Heart’s in-school program teaching Hands-Only CPR

To further inspire more people learning CPR, the Heart Association and the NFL will celebrate the five students from across the country who won Super Bowl LX tickets through the Association’s nearly 50 year old in-school programs, Kids Heart Challenge™ and American Heart Challenge™. The students learned Hands-Only CPR through the program and their school is now eligible for a $10,000 physical education makeover as part of the collaboration to inspire Hands-Only CPR adoption. This year-round activation by the two organizations supports CPR education through the NFL Foundation. Both students and schools can enter now to win tickets to Super Bowl LXI taking place in Los Angeles in 2027.

The American Heart Association is the worldwide leader in resuscitation science, education and training, and publishes the official scientific guidelines for CPR. With nearly 3 out of 4 cardiac arrests outside of the hospital occurring in homes, knowing how to perform CPR is essential. Increasing the number of people prepared to administer CPR improves the likelihood of a positive outcome.

The NFL and the American Heart Association want more people to be confident and capable when faced with a cardiac emergency, adding more people to the Association’s Nation of Lifesavers™ movement, which intends to double survival rates by 2030. According to American Heart Association data, 9 out of every 10 people who experience cardiac arrest outside of a hospital die, in part because they do not receive immediate CPR more than half of the time. CPR, especially if performed immediately, can double or triple a person’s chance of survival.

“Knowing you are most likely to perform the lifesaving skill of CPR on someone you know and love, being ready to act in a cardiac emergency is a critical skill you want to have when seconds can make a difference,” said Brown.

Heart’s Nation of Lifesavers Player Ambassadors

To help with the call to action to learn CPR, NFL players representing team across the country, as the 2025 class of the American Heart Association’s Nation of Lifesaver Player Ambassadors, are asking family, friends and fans to learn the lifesaving skill of CPR. The 32 members of the ambassador class include Darion Taylor-Demerson, Arizona Cardinals; Bradley Pinion, Atlanta Falcons; Damar Hamlin, Buffalo Bills; Sam Martin, Carolina Panthers; Tremaine Edmunds, Chicago Bears; Kris Jenkins, Cincinnati Bengals; Denzel Ward, Cleveland Browns; Rivaldo Fairweather and Reddy Steward, Dallas Cowboys; Johnathon Cooper, Denver Broncos; Donovan Jenkins, Green Bay Packers; Jaylin Noel, Houston Texans; Neville Gallimore and Austin Ajiake, Indianapolis Colts; Khalen Saunders, New York Jets; Creed Humphrey and George Karlaftis, Kansas City Chiefs; Kenny Pickett, Las Vegas Raiders; Austin Deculus, Los Angeles Chargers; Jordan Whittington, Los Angeles Rams; Zach Sieler, Miami Dolphins; Jalen Redmond, Minnesota Vikings; Justin Ried, New Orleans Saints; Devin Singletary, New York Giants; Charley Hughlett, Philadelphia Eagles; Thomas Morstead, San Francisco 49ers; D’Anthony Bell, Seattle Seahawks; Sterling Shephard and C.J. Brewer, Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Julius Chestnut, Tennessee Titans; Brandon Coleman and Chris Paul, Washington Commanders.

Heart Association and NFL Clubs community CPR education

Since January 2023, the American Heart Association has worked alongside more than half of the NFL teams to educate players and staff, local youth coaches and fan families on Hands-Only CPR and train in Heartsaver® CPR AED. The Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks and the Tennessee Titans, have since hosted American Heart Association trainings and education opportunities making their community better prepared to respond to a cardiac emergency where fans live, work and play.

This marks the sixth appearance of the Association’s Mobile CPR Unit at a signature NFL event. Previously, it trained fans at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, LVIII in Las Vegas, LVII in Phoenix, the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit and the 2023 Kansas City. The Mobile CPR Unit will also be at the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
