Just three months into his four-year term, Delaware Governor Matt Meyer has revealed that he is working to eliminate a controversial electric vehicle mandate passed by the previous governor. During his 2025 State of the State address, Governor Meyer noted that he wasn’t a fan of government mandates and would do away with the rule requiring car dealerships in Delaware to have an increasing number of new battery electric vehicles (BEVs) on their lots.
