Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida Invite Students to STEMapalooza 2025: A Journey Through The – Ologies

It’s a hands-on STEM learning and discovery experience open to the public at the Museum of Discovery and Science

The public is invited to embark on an extraordinary journey during this year’s STEMapalooza: Ology Overload, presented by Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida. This journey takes guests on a Magic School Bus-worthy adventure, exploring an overload of fascinating “–ologies” and diving into the wonders of science, technology, engineering and math on August 23 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at the Museum of Discovery and Science, 401 SW 2nd St. in Fort Lauderdale.

Girl Scouts, students, families and the community will step into a world of curiosity and wonder to explore fascinating science careers and discover the magic of STEM through immersive, hands-on adventures. With exclusive after-hours access to the Museum of Discovery and Science, guests will journey through biology, astronomy, geology and more, experiencing science in a way that truly comes alive. STEMapalooza is anything but ordinary, featuring interactive experiments, live demonstrations, private screenings and engaging conversations with leaders in their respective industries. It’s a unique opportunity for guests to connect with fellow curious minds and experience a night of fun and discovery.

Guests will have access to the museum, including the traveling exhibit, Expedition Dinosaur – Rise of the Mammals, and permanent exhibits such as Dino Dana Adventures, Florida Ecoscapes, Otters at Play, Storm Center and more. Guests will also enjoy a documentary in the IMAX theater while also delving into an array of –ologies, including kinetology with Mad Science; electrology with The Dennis Project; entomology with Truly Nolen; criminology with the Broward Sheriff’s Office; meteorology with WSVN Channel 7’s Vivian Gonzalez; oceanography with the Marine Research Hub; graphology with the Museum of Graffiti; and marine biology with the Guy Harvey Research Institute.

“STEMapalooza is about sparking curiosity and empowering everyone who attends to see themselves in the world of STEM,” said Lisa Johnson, CEO of Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida. “By bringing STEM to life we are showcasing careers where anything is possible.”

Admission is $40 for children, students and Girl Scouts and $30 for adults. The program fee includes admission to STEMapalooza, full access to the museum and IMAX documentary, all program activities and demonstrations, a pizza dinner and an exclusive event fun patch.
