Day Center Attendance Will be Covered for Up to 58 Participants

Alzheimer’s Community Care (ACC), Florida’s premier provider of dementia-specific services, today announced additional specialized day center funding. This new funding will cover day center attendance expenses five days a week for eight months for up to 58 participants with dementia-related disorders.

ACC operates numerous Specialized Adult

Alzheimer’s Day Centers in Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie counties. A full list of centers and their operating hours is available here. The centers are open Monday through Friday. The centers give caregivers a much-needed break by providing daycare and enrichment for patients.

“ACC is committed to providing specialized, compassionate care to families navigating the challenges of Alzheimer’s and related dementias,” said ACC President and CEO David Franklin. “We are excited about this new funding, with which we can extend our day center services to more families and caregivers needing respite. We are deeply grateful for this investment in our mission and look forward to continuing to serve our community with care, compassion, and respect.”

While attending ACC’s Specialized Adult Alzheimer’s Day Centers, patients engage in enrichment activities such as art therapy, music therapy, robotic pet therapy, and much more. Breakfast and lunch are also provided.
