Shincheonji Taekwondo Team Triumphs at 2025 Park Chung-hee Cup

The Shincheonji Church of Jesus Taekwondo Team has once again showcased their exceptional talent on the global stage by securing numerous medals at the '2025 Park Chung-hee Cup International Open Taekwondo Competition'. Hosted by the Park Chung-hee Cup Organizing Committee and co-hosted by the Gyeongbuk Taekwondo Association and the Sangju City Taekwondo Association, the event saw around 4,200 athletes from 18 countries competing in various disciplines. The Shincheonji team, with 25 athletes, won a total of 4 gold, 7 silver, and 14 bronze medals in the poomsae individual competition, marking a significant achievement for the team and enhancing Korea's cultural and diplomatic stature. This victory follows their success at the '2025 Kim Un-yong Cup International Open Taekwondo Competition' in Busan, where all participants won awards, further cementing their reputation as a formidable force in Taekwondo.

Lee Jun-wi, a gold medalist, and Coach Kim Deok-hoon highlighted the team's dedication and the high level of competition, expressing pride in their performance and plans for future improvements.
