MAHLE Dayton Celebrates Century of Automotive Innovation

MAHLE, a global automotive industry leader, marks a significant milestone as its Dayton, Ohio facility celebrates 100 years of innovation and excellence in thermal management solutions. The facility, a pivotal part of MAHLE's North American operations, has been at the forefront of producing essential components for automotive manufacturers, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) modules, radiators, and engine cooling modules. With a workforce of nearly 1,000 skilled team members, the Dayton plant plays a crucial role in MAHLE's strategy to support sustainable mobility solutions, catering to internal combustion, hybrid, and fully electric vehicles. Jumana Al-Sibai, a member of the MAHLE Group Management Board, emphasized the company's commitment to the U.S. as a key production and employment hub in North America.

The celebration not only honors the facility's rich legacy but also looks forward to its future contributions to the automotive industry. Located strategically near major transportation routes, the Dayton plant is well-equipped to meet the evolving demands of electrification and energy-efficient thermal systems. MAHLE's acquisition of the facility in 2013, following its takeover of the Behr Group, underscores its dedication to expanding its thermal management production in the U.S. With 15 locations across the country and plans to increase its presence, MAHLE continues to shape the future of mobility, reinforcing its position as a trusted partner to the automotive sector.
